A girl of valor, a girl of talent
A girl who is as brilliant as they come
A girl who excels everywhere she goes
Not many words out there to describe her
To describe the uniqueness of her being
The uniqueness of her smile
The uniqueness of her frown
The uniqueness of her skin
The uniqueness of her hair
The uniqueness of her face
She represents the beauty of Blackness
She represents the essence of womanhood
She defies stereotypes placed before her
As she engages herself in sports of all sorts
Just one of the few talents she possesses
This poem is about a girl I know
A girl who is special to everyone
A girl who defies all odds in the midst of
A girl who is beautiful as the sunset
A girl who goes by the name GRACE.
