Thoughts
Position
Sometimes you can feel so close to someone until they do something that makes you not think so highly of them anymore. Or when you find yourself trying not to say anything nice to someone out of protection because you might be putting yourself in a position where you might fall for them again.
Then there’s this one person, that no matter what they do, you don’t know how to stop loving them; or stay away from them even if they cause you pain that made you hate loving them.
Protection
And sometimes things will be going so well, until they grow distant. It’s not the fact that they don’t want to see you, it’s the fact they don’t want to see how you see them through your eyes because it’s scary, letting their guard down again.
It wasn’t hard falling for them in secret, but when you have to look them in the eyes, and tell them how you feel, and they don’t feel the same way; now, that is hard. Because you know now that they were never going to see you the same way you saw them.
Tolerance
Even if you waited for them, even when they told you to move on.
You still waited, because moving on from them wasn’t an option, it was forced. This is why no one ever really moves on from someone they love; the pain just becomes bearable.
